Retina Injections

For some retina conditions, it is necessary to treat the eye by injecting medicine into the eye. This procedure is called an intravitreal injection. It is performed in the office under topical anesthesia (numbing medicine applied to the surface of the eye).

Intravitreal injections are commonly done to treat the following conditions:

  • Diabetic macular edema (DME)
  • Age-related macular degeneration (AMD
  • Central/branch retinal vein occlusions (CRVO, BRVO)
  • Cystoid macular edema (CME)

Eye Specialists of Georgia is proud to offer a variety of intravitreal injections to treat retinal conditions. Call today to inquire about an evaluation with our retina specialist, Dr. Stephanie Lynch.
