Dr. Ronald S. Weber, M.D.

Ophthalmologist, External Eye and Eyelid Surgery, Diseases of the Eye

Dr. Weber graduated from Duke University summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He attended Emory University School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors.

His medical career began with an internship at Baroness Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He then moved to San Diego, California, where he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of California. 

Upon completing his residency, Dr. Weber practiced as a Staff Ophthalmologist with Florida Health Care Plan in Holly Hill, Florida. In 1996, Dr. Weber returned to Atlanta, where he practiced ophthalmology in a private practice. Dr. Weber founded Weber Eye Group in 1999 in Stockbridge, and a second office was added in Newnan in 2001. Weber Eye Group merged with Thomas Eye Group, where Dr. Weber practiced as a partner. Dr. Weber later practiced at Clayton Eye Center for 11 years from 2009 through 2020.
 
Dr. Weber underwent laser vision correction in 1998. His experiences as a patient instilled enthusiasm for performing refractive surgery, but also respect for the importance of the different vision needs of each individual patient.
 
Dr. Weber's hobbies include fitness, camping, travel, and nature. He enjoys hunting wild edible mushrooms. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
